Getting back to training for cross-country has had its problems this off season. I have suffered a lot of injury this summer from leg injury to pneumonia. I have found myself not looking forward to the upcoming season, due to the fact that I have had such a rough summer. With time I have healed and slowly got back into a rhythm.  I still have high hopes for myself and will not use injury as an excuse. I do not want to point blame on anyone or anything. I have been raised and brought up in running and I look at myself as to why I do not compete at the level that I would like. As an athlete you have to put in the work to get the results you want to see.  This season will be a challenge, but if I was not to be challenged why would I compete? This is something to think about. Good luck to all in their upcoming seasons.
