• What type of entity should I sign up as?
  • There are currently 6 types of members on AccessAthletes - Athletes, Sports Professionals and Representatives, Members of the Media, Businesses and Sports Fans.

• What do these terms mean?
  • Entourage - People that you have a connection to or wish to make a connection with.
  • Mentor - Select a person who you look up to or has helped guide you in your life.  Also, ask another member of your entourage if he/she would like to be mentored by you.  This feature also is a part of your Entourage.
  • Starting 5 - Five members that you prioritize above the rest.  They will be featured with a small picture at the top of your Entourage section.
  • Sportspad - This function allows you to write quick messages on other members' profiles so they can readily view your message when they access their profiles.  There is a Fan's Sportspad designated for fan messages only.  There is also a MVP's Sportspad for MVP messages
  • Report a Foul to the Ref - Click this button (located under a member's profile picture) in order to report a violation of the Terms of Use for AccessAthletes.

• How do I see everybody who is a part of the site?
  • The browse feature (located next to the Profile button) will break down the members of AccessAthletes by geographic location and member type.

• What is this "Manage My Links" on the bottom section of the left sidebar?
  • We encourage our members to enter up to 5 links of their own that will show up on every page while they are logged in.  We want you to make AccessAthletes your startup page, where you get sports news updates instantly, chat with your Entourage, and have links to your normal sites.
    • Example: You may want to put a link to your e-mail, favorite sports blog, and Facebook on your "Manage My Links" area.

• How exactly do I upload videos to my page?
  • In order to correctly upload a video to your page, you must put the video's embed code in the Edit Videos box, not the web address where the video is located.  All video services (i.e. YouTube) will provide the embed code on the page of your video.

• How do I become a Featured MVP on the page after login?
  • All MVPs are automatically placed in a randomization formula upon becoming activated on the site.  The MVPs that are listed in this area change upon each refresh of the page.

• Why can't I click on some Featured MVPs?
  • You can only see an MVP profile if the person has made his/her profile public.  MVP profiles are automatically distinguished as private upon registration.

• I am an MVP and I do not want the general public to see my information.  How do I restrict access to my information?
  • After you register, your profile will only be able to seen by members of your Entourage.  You must change your settings to Public from Private in order to allow others to see the information that you post to your profile.  If you click on the edit button on the top left of the profile information section, you will find the privacy options tab.
